Coronavirus emergency: Ghella supports the Community of Sant’Egidio

The ongoing World pandemic is severely testing our community from many points of view. In addition to the health crisis, the economic and social impact of COVID-19 is likely to have dramatic consequences on the poorest, and is creating new situations of need.

Ghella has decided to support the Community of Sant’Egidio, a Christian community born in 1968 in Rome, which today has become a network operating in more than 70 countries around the World. Ghella has donated 50.000 Euro to support Sant’Egidio's initiatives to fight against poverty and hunger: in the last month, just in Rome, the Community has delivered 10 thousand food shopping packages and has opened 10 new distribution centers in the suburbs.

To achieve our vision, leave a better World to the next generations, it is important to do our best to ensure that no one remains alone.

We want to be close to the most fragile and vulnerable people: the elderly, the homeless, the disabled.

If you want to support the Community of Sant’Egidio with us, you can make a donation by following the instructions on their dedicated web page.
