Ghella awarded EcoVadis Platinum Medal for sustainability

Ghella has been awarded its first Platinum Medal in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by EcoVadis, the independent global provider of business sustainability ratings.

The Platinum level places the Company within the top 1% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis.

This recognition is part of the broader sustainability journey undertaken by Ghella, which in just three years has brought us from a Bronze Medal (2018) to Gold Medal (2019) up to a Platinum Medal this year, making us increasingly competitive in our reference market: we will continue to keep a firm focus on the continuous improvement of our present and future performance.                                                                                                                                         

EcoVadis evaluates how well companies integrate the principles of CSR into their business and management systems. The assessment considers performance across 21 CSR indicators, which are grouped into 4 key themes: Environment, Labor Practices & Human Rights, Fair Business Practices and Sustainable Procurement.

EcoVadis assesses suppliers operating in more than 160 countries and in 190 spend categories. Since its foundation in 2007, it has grown to become the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. Its methodology incorporates various international CSR standards, including the United Nations Global Compact, the Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI), and ISO 26000. Assessment results from EcoVadis are used by more than 65,000 companies.
