The Bologna-Firenze section of the Milan-Naples High Speed railway has seen Ghella in three different lots. The first two are dated back to early 2000 and consisted of traditionally excavated tunnels.
The first one has required the excavation and lining of two 9,6m diameter tunnels by hydraulic hammer for overall 3450m; and an access Tunnel with internal diameter 13m.
The second lot has seen the excavation of two 9,6m diameter tunnels with hydraulic hammer for overall 2900m.
