Peschiera Aqueduct

Italy

The Peschiera Acqueduct is one of the biggest acqueducts in the world for solely spring water transportation. Works have seen the construction of the second section of the lower connection from the Salisano hydro plant to the Monte Carnale  basin, in S. Lucia area, north of Rome.
The acqueduct untangles its way through the left hand side of the river Tiber for overall 33km. Works have allowed the overall waterflow to the northern side of Rome to increase from 5,5 to 9,5 m³/s
