Ghella publishes the 2020 Corporate Sustainability Report

Ghella announces the publication of its second sustainability report, which shows an improvement, compared to the previous year, of some of the main environmental and social indicators of the company.

In 2020 we recorded a 19% decrease in the frequency of injuries and a 20% decrease in greenhouse gas emissions associated with energy consumption. We have also reused or recycled 73% of our waste, seeking opportunities to contribute to a circular economy with our construction activities.

These positive results invite us to continue this path, progressively aligning our ambitions and actions to the expectations of our stakeholders in a continuous virtuous process of improvement.

Our Vice President, Federico Ghella, commented: “This new edition of the Sustainability Report confirms Ghella’s commitment to transparency and to engaging our stakeholders. Measuring environmental and social performance is an essential tool to direct our actions towards achieving sustainability objectives that are increasingly becoming underlying elements in our corporate strategy.”

The Sustainability Report has been realized on a voluntary basis, hence demonstrating Ghella’s commitment to transparency and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). It has been written following the guidelines of the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) international standard and contains a description of the commitments undertaken by Ghella, in line with the sustainable development goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

The document is available on our website at https://ghella.com/en/sustainabilityreport. You can consult it online or download it in a digital format. This is to ensure maximum dissemination with minimal environmental impact.
