Yonge North Subway Extension

The Yonge North Subway Extension (YNSE) will extend the TTC’s Line 1 subway service approximately eight kilometers north from Finch Station to the municipalities of Vaughan, Markham and Richmond Hill. The project 
includes five stations with approximately 6.3 kilometers of tunnel and a surface section that will follow the existing railway corridor along the northern portion of the route. Once completed, the YNSE will connect Toronto and York Region transit services improving transit access for local communities. Together with the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension, the YNSE is part of the Province of Ontario's priority public transit expansion projects for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
